From November 2023 to February 2025, we took care of the participatory process, the drafting of the application dossier, and the audition at the Ministry for the city of Pordenone as the Italian Capital of Culture 2027—achieving a remarkable result: Pordenone emerged as the winner with the Pordenone 2027 project.. A city that surprises.
Working in close coordination with various local stakeholders within the steering committee, we structured the application as a pluralistic and participatory journey, divided into several phases: listening, activation, and co-design. The outcome was a collective dossier featuring over 50 projects that capture the ideas, visions, and dreams of the 111 stakeholders involved, including local and national cultural and social organizations, businesses, as well as 45 municipalities in the province of Pordenone.
The Commission particularly appreciated the innovative and inclusive model of cultural enhancement, the commitment to making culture a driving force for sustainable development through a comprehensive year-long program and a solid investment plan, and the focus on youth engagement.
